WHAT WE DO
The Story Factory
The Story Factory is a creative consultancy project dedicated to generating original story sessions, workshops and courses for children, youths and adults in schools and universities in English and in Spanish. Our aim is to promote Education for Sustainable Development and volunteerism as a way of promoting participation towards global citizenship. In Africa and Latin America, The Story Factory pursues the integration of creative and innovative methods in international development projects, research, and training courses that encourage leadership and empowerment in children, youths, and communities in the area of Human Rights advocacy.
ABOUT
Miriam Lyle
Miriam Lyle, founder of The Story Factory, is a native Canadian residing in Spain. With over 20 years of professional and volunteer experience in the NGO and non-profit sector, Miriam is committed to promoting Human Rights, especially of children. As a project manager she has carried out international development programs and training courses in both Africa and Latin America, international and local volunteer programs as well as Education for Development and Global Citizenship projects in Spain, where she offers workshops and courses aimed at students, teachers, and families concerning the environment, responsible consumerism, gender equality, Agenda 2030, Human Rights and volunteering.
Miriam holds a Bachelor’s degree in Women Studies and a Master in International Development Cooperation, Expert in Education for Solidarity and specialized studies in project monitoring and evaluation of projects and Corporate Social Responsibility. She also has broad experience in theatre, creative writing, and storytelling and has participated in numerous plays and short films; she can be seen reading her poetry and short stories at open mic events throughout Madrid. Creativity and personal artistic expression permeate all of her activities.
